Ingredients for dough:

  • 2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1/2 tbsp instant yeast
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp granulated white sugar
  • 1/4 cup canola oil
  • 1 cup warm milk

Ingredients for filling:

  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 1tsp all spice
  • salt to taste
  • 1bsp olive oil
  • 1 bell pepper chopped
  • 1 tomato chopped
  • 250 gms chicken mince
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper powder
  • 1 tsp summak powder

Method:

For dough mix in yeast in warm milk and let it set for few minutes until gets foamy, pour in all the dough ingredients in stand mixer with hook attachment and mix in on medium speed until the done is smooth and stretchy. Place the dough in large greased bowl, place oil on top of dough, cover it and let sit in a warm place at least for an hour or until doe doubles in size.

For filling mix in all the ingredients until well combined.

Take the dough and make 25 round bite size round balls, roll them with a rolling pin or with hand around size of your palm, place the filling around 2 tbsp, pinch the two sides of dough to give it a fold in a boat shape, place all in greased tray and place them in pre heated oven at 400 degree F for 15 minutes or until dough turns light golden in colour, remove from oven and serve hot.

    All you have to do is purée some blueberries in almond milk and then stir in chia seeds. For extra zing a little cinnamon and honey. Let it soak overnight or for at least a couple of hours. Then top with whole blueberries and some toasted almonds to eat.

      I’m using almond milk because I have it on hand, and I’m making an effort to reduce dairy (lactose intolerant here), but you could easily use regular milk instead.

    But then I tried a drink with chia seeds and it reminded me of bubble tea! Albeit with tiny bubbles. In a flash decades of green sprouty images disappeared, replaced with food possibilities.
